Our story

Born from a love of this island's coastline

The Cove began with a simple belief: that Mauritius's beaches are the most beautiful backdrop for the moments that matter most — a proposal at dusk, a birthday with your closest people, a quiet evening for two. We wanted to give those moments the styling they deserve, without anyone having to lift a cooler box or fold a picnic blanket.

Every setup is planned by hand, styled on-site before you arrive, and packed away afterwards so all that's left for you is the memory. We work across the island's beaches and gardens, adapting each design to the light, the tides and the season.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

Advance booking is recommended, especially for weekends and public holidays, as setups are subject to availability. Your date is only secured once a deposit is paid and confirmed.

What happens if it rains?

Outdoor experiences depend on the weather. If poor conditions are expected, we'll discuss postponing, relocating (to a covered spot, for example) or adjusting the setup with you ahead of time.

Can I choose the location?

Yes — tell us your preferred beach, lagoon or garden, or ask us to suggest one. Some locations carry access restrictions, permissions or additional charges, which we'll confirm in your proposal.

Do you cater for allergies and dietary needs?

Please let us know any food allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements before your booking is confirmed, so we can plan the menu around them.

Will my picnic look exactly like the reference photos I send?

Reference images are a wonderful creative guide, but the final setup may vary depending on availability, location, weather and budget — we'll always aim to stay true to the mood you're after.

What about deposits, damage and supervision?

A deposit secures your date, with the balance due within the agreed timeframe. Any damage or loss involving The Cove's equipment may be charged to the client, and children should remain under adult supervision throughout the experience.
